We at Pye-Barker Fire and Safety are dedicated to full service fire protection. The purpose of this training room is to provide the opportunity for our customers and our employees to learn more about the details of fire protection systems. One of the most desirable yet overlooked aspects of fire protection is the customer, Authority Having Jurisdiction, and employee training. Pye-Barker's state of the art training facilities encompass active fire protection equipment in a controlled setting, and will aid in the education of customers, public officials and our employees. Pye-Barker Fire and Safety are pleased to offer the following classes in the coming 2011 year.
Fire Extinguisher Training - (NFPA 10 code requirements,types, uses, capabilities, code requirements, P.A.S.S., techniques, record keeping, trouble shooting, proper maintenance proceedures)
Pre-Engineered Suppression -(NFPA 17/17A codes, types, uses, capabilities, code requirements, trouble shooting, proper maintenance proceedures, UL requirements) these classes will be taught by manufacturer's, such as ANSUL, Pyrochem, Amerex, etc.
Exit/ Emergency Lighting - (types, uses, purpose, record keeping, OSHA/NFPA Life Safety 101 requirements)
Fire Sprinklers - (NFPA 25/13, Installation and Maintenance Requirements in a controlled environment of a working wet/ dry riser system)
Backflows - (education in the understanding of the basic components and their functionality)
Fire Alarms - (NFPA 72, basic functionality of addressable and non-addressable fire alarm panel components)
