Sprinkler Technician Position Available
Pye Barker Fire Safety is currently accepting applications at our Raleigh location for Sprinkler Technician
Responsibilities include:
• Install and service water-based fire sprinkler systems, start-up through final testing, including layout and fabrication of piping.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance services.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
• Maintain professional, timely communication with customers to assures problem resolution.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• May be required to work on-call, nights and/or weekends to meet customer installation and service requirements.
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of local and state fire codes.
• Self-motivated individual with desire to excel.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good customer service skills.
Additional Requirements
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Submit to a DMV driving record check.
• Must have a negative result from drug screening test.
