Types of Extinguishers
AFFF Extinguishers
Easy and effective application for class B liquid spills to prevent ignition.
Water Mist Extinguishers
Watermist is the ultimate extinguisher for Class A fires, especially where a potential Class C (electrical) hazard exists.
The fine spray from the unique misting nozzle provides safety from electrical shock, greatly enhances the cooling and soaking characteristics of the agent and reduces scattering of the burring materials.
Unequivocally the best extinguisher for hospital environments, telecommunications facilities and "clean room" manufacturing facilities.
Halotron
Halotron is a "Clean Agent" HydroChloroFluoroCarbon discharged as a rapidly evaporating liquid which leaves no residue. It effectively extinguishes Class A, and B fires by cooling and smothering and it will not conduct electricity back to the operator.
Halotron is pressurized with Argon gas and is and EPA and FAA approved HCFC blend B agent approved for use on Class A, B and C fires.
It has a low GWP of 0.04 - 0.24, low ODP of 0.014 (twelve times lower than the EPA maximum allowable ODP of 0.20) and a low Atmospheric lifetime (3 1/2 to 11 years).
Halotron is intended for use in areas formerly protected by Halon 1211 hand portable extinguishers such as computer rooms, telecommunications facilities, clean rooms, data storage area, offices (for protection of sensitive electronic equipment), aircraft, boats and vehicles.
Redline
People in industries where there are frequent fires set tough standards for fire protection equipment. They demand rugged extinguisher that can take rough treatment and still perform reliably, day after day, year after year. They expect the equipment to provide value when they buy it and when it comes time to service it. And they look for a company that can help them solve fire protection problems.
It simply performs better. Every Red Line unit is manufactured as if someone's life or business may depend on its performance. Which is why we select only the finest materials, test and retest our designs under actual fire situations and manufacture every component to the highest quality standards possible. The result is equipment that performs better, lasts longer and costs less to own than any other brand.
FE 36
Exceptionally effective fire extinguisher. The extinguishing concentration (cup burner) of FE-36 is only 5.9% - and because it discharges as a liquid, it also provides an effective discharge range up to 16 ft.
Safe for sensitive electronic components. FE-36 is electrically nonconductive, residue-free, and will not cause thermal shock damage.
EPA/SNAP Acceptance. FE-36 has been accepted by the EPA for commercial, industrial, and military use under the EPA's SNAP program. It boasts ZERO Ozone Depletion Potential and is NOT scheduled for phase-out by the Montreal Protocol.
Very low toxicity. The Lowest Observable Adverse Effects Level (LOAEL) of FE-36 is 15%, well above its extinguishing concentration. Other agents have LOAEL's of only 1% or 2% which is actually below their extinguisher concentrations.
The bottom line: FE-36 is the safest Halon 1211 replacement on the market today.
FFFP
FFFP Foam adds Class B fire fighting capability to the Class A effectiveness of this extinguisher. The alcohol resistant fire fighting agent is effective on fires in a wide variety of Class B materials such as alcohols, polar solvents, hydocarbons and combinations such as gasohol. Apply to a non-ignited Class B liquid spill and it will seal the surface minimizing the chance of serious fire.
Pressure Water
Water extinguishers are still used frequently in numerous applications.
The lengthy discharge time as well as the distance the stream can carry
make them ideal for the inexperienced user on A class hazards.
K-Class
Wet Chemical extinguishers are the best restaurant kitchen appliance hand portable fire extinguishers you can purchase. Both have been tested and approved for the new Class K listing UL specifically for restaurant kitchen hazards. They contain a special potassium acetate based, low PH agent developed for use in pre engineered restaurant kitchen systems.
The recent trend to more efficient cooking appliances and use of unsaturated cooling oils dictates the use of a hand portable fire extinguisher with greater fire fighting capacity and cooling effect to combat these very hot and difficult fires. Available in two sizes - 6 liter or 2 1/2 gal. with attractive stainless steel cylinders and easy to use hose and spray application nozzle. The superior fire fighting capability of the Wet Chemical agent is placed exactly where you aim it with no chemical residue to clean up.
HALON 1211
Halon 1211 - is a liquefied gas, pressurized with nitrogen, which discharges as a vapor at high nozzle velocity with no cold or static shock and no impairment of the operator's vision. The vapor rapidly blankets a fire, interferes with the chemical chain reaction of fire which constitutes flame and quickly penetrates difficult to see and hard to reach areas.
Wheeled Units
Wheeled Units - come in a variety of sizes, discharge times and ranges as
well as a broad array of chemical contents. They are ideal for large
hazard applications. Speak with your service provider for more information
and a hazards analysis. Together you can determine the best protect
methods for your application.
ABC
Multi-purpose ABC dry chemical fuses and insulates Class A fires by melting and clinging to the surface to which it is applied at approximately 350 degrees F., smothers and breaks the chain reaction on Class B fires and is a non-conductor of electricity. Truly a valuable fire extinguisher for home, office, vehicles, farm or factory.
CO2
Carbon dioxide which is contained in the cylinder in liquid form is discharged as a white cloud of "snow" which effectively smothers a fire. It is a clean, non-conductor of electricity for Class B and C type fires.
PK Extinguisher
Purple K extinguishers contain specially fluidized and siliconized potassium bicarbonate dry chemical which is particularly effective on Class B flammable liquids and pressurized gases and it is electrically non-conductive. Long the choice of the oil, gas, chemical and utilities industries as the preferred fire fighting agent.
Vehicle Systems
Fire destroys billions of dollars worth of industrial equipment every year. It causes manpower losses, decreased property value, and in many cases, human lives. Yet few companies fail to properly protect their workers and industrial equipment from its damaging effects.
Reduce Insurance Cost. Vehicle fire suppression systems may make it easier to obtain insurance and also help you to qualify for lower premiums. As the costs of heavy-duty vehicles rise, insurance rates escalate accordingly. Many insurance companies have recognized a reduction in claims paid out due to the presence of a fixed vehicle fire suppression system.
Industrial Systems
Hazardous material storage areas and commercial paint spray booths today involve highly flammable liquids, creating an environment in which fire is always a threat. Fumes can build up or chemicals can leak or spill. Mix this with an ignition source and it becomes a potentially devastating combination. If fire occurs, systems must be shut off and alarms and other electrical devices must be activated. Pre-Engineered Dry Chemical Systems can protect all these diverse hazard areas and perform all the necessary auxiliary function.
Microblaze
Spills and leaks are a fact of life. They range from minor time consuming chores to major hazards. Hydraulic line, valves, on/offloading sites, gasoline pumping areas, and maintenance bays are constantly needing to be cleaned of leaks and spills.
Micro-Blaze Emergency Liquid Spill Control addresses these pollution problems with one of Nature's smallest yet most powerful weapons: microbes. It was developed to attack spills and leaks quickly and efficiently, turning the offending hydrocarbons and other organic wastes into harmless by-products of carbon dioxide and water.
Micro-Blaze Liquid Spill Control is a unique formulation of biological activators and selected microbes, which digest hydrocarbons and other organic waste. Containing over 200 billion microbes per gallon, Micro-Blaze Emergency Liquid Spill Control will disperse the spill on contact, inert the spill so that it is non-flammable, will leave no slippery residue when washed down and will bio-remediate the spill in place, turning the hazardous waste into CO2 and water. Micro-Blaze Emergency Liquid Spill Control is listed on the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Contingency Plan as a bio remediation agent.
